Suhoor and Iftar

Suhoor

The Prophet ο·Ί said: β€œEat suhoor, for in suhoor there is blessing.” It is recommended to delay it close to dawn, and even a sip of water counts.

  • Choose slow-digesting foods such as oats, eggs and yogurt.
  • Drink plenty of water between iftar and suhoor.

Iftar

It is sunnah to break the fast promptly at sunset, with fresh dates, dried dates or water, followed by dua.

  • Start with a few dates and water, pray Maghrib, then complete your meal.
  • Avoid excess and heavy fried food.
